Wait, We're Teaching What Now? Demystifying the New Principles of Educational Instruction Course
Wednesday June 11, 2025 1:00pm - 1:50pm PDT
In this session, we’ll dig into the “new-to-us” content of this course: what are the Learning of Science Principles? What even is Utah Code 53E-9-203? And, how do we teach this…and not screw it up?
We’ll confront the hard truth: many of our building mentors aren’t modeling these principles well (yet), and that makes our job even trickier. So, let’s get real. Together, we’ll unpack what the law and research actually require, explore practical strategies for meaningful instruction, and leave with tools we can use—whether we’re teaching this course next year or not.
